Membership in the Alumni Association provides you with a
variety of valuable benefits and your dues help supply important funds
the Association uses to continue its service to the University of Maine,
its current students, and its graduates. Here are some of the benefits of

Membership
MAINE Alumni Magazine, the
magazine of and for University of Maine Alumni, published 3 times annually.
Maine Alumni Magazine offers university news; research news; feature
stories on programs, athletics, and student life; interviews; and University
of Maine alumni profiles.
Mainely
People class notes, now included with Maine
Alumni Magazine. Published 3 times annually, Mainely People offers UMAA news,
feature stories, alumni activities calendar, alumni weddings, alumni
obituaries, and nostalgic photographs.
UMaine
InCircle - Open to all UMaine graduates (not just dues paying
members) InCircle is on online networking community exclusively for
University of Maine alumni. Upon registering you can add your personal
contact information, upload photos and photo albums, and join a wide variety
of groups based upon your geographic location, interest (hockey, fraternity,
club or group) and more. To register you will need your alumni ID number (a
six digit number starting with the year in which you graduated). Alumni IDs
are found on many UMAA mailings, and can also be provided to you by calling

First Class
- email and communication tool used by nearly all UMaine students,
faculty, staff and now, alumni. Features an email address
(firstname.lastname@umit.maine.edu) and access to many folders and
conferences where users can post items and share information.
(NOTE: Alumni FirstClass is NOT
an Internet service provider. You will need your own ISP (AOL, Netscape,
etc) to access Alumni FirstClass.)

Members Advantage - with discounts to over 40 businesses and services -
including the University's own Fogler Library, University Bookstore, Maine Center for the Arts,

Without the support of our members we would not be able to provide the
quality and quantity of services we offer to both alumni and students at
UMaine.
Annual dues are just $40 (single) or $50
(joint). You can save by becoming a decade member for only $250 single, $350
joint or a Lifetime Members ($600 single, $850 joint). Lifetime
Members pay once and that's it! Lifetime Membership has an available
payment option of 3 easy installments and we offer a $100.00 discount for
alumni 62 and older.

Remember, membership dues secure your benefits - including subscriptions
to our publications. Internal Revenue Service
regulations prohibit us from giving any type of benefit package in exchange
for tax-deductible contributions. Your dues, therefore, are not considered
tax-deductible.
Your gifts to the
Annual Fund, however, are tax-deductible contributions (to the
extent of law). Your support of the Annual Fund, in addition to
active membership, is much needed and would be greatly appreciated. Thank
